About André
I am André, a mathematical economics / statistics / finance master student. I have lived my childhood in france accessor with three younger siblings and buzy low educated parents. Therefore, I have had to learn my lessons by myslef, and to help my little sisters with theirs. I therefore know in what ways a student can be blocked with math concepts, and how to explain them properly, rigorously, and intuitively.

My method of teaching depends on the student I assist. Some students need more time to understand concepts because their basics aren't yet solid enough. In that case I break down the problematic lesson into simpler intuitive ideas, with examples of the student's liking, and we glue the pieces toegether so that the whole idea makes better sense for him. Other students have a good base of knowledge, but get demotivated by abstract concepts that seem useless. In that case I spend time building lessons with a more concrete approach. I construct real world problems close to the student's center of interest, that need a good understanding the topics at hand to be solved. We then solve them ether and I focus on the problematic steps that I identify.

My rates are the same for everyone. But, if a child is in great difficulty and the family is in a difficult financial situation I can propose a personal help during my free time, in that case, I will chose the schedule, it will depend on the amount of work I have ahead, and I cannot promise any regularity. Nevertheless, the child will recive the same quality of teaching, and the same background work is gonna be spent on his lessons.
