About Elijah

When you join me for singing lessons, you’re stepping into a space where your voice is respected, your growth is celebrated, and your personal goals truly matter. My approach is not about rigid instruction — it’s about guiding you to discover your own sound, your own rhythm, and your own joy in singing. Whether you’re new to music or returning after years away, I meet you exactly where you are and create a learning plan that’s completely yours. We’ll work on foundational vocal skills like breath control, range expansion, and tone clarity — always at your pace and within the music styles you enjoy. If you love pop, folk, jazz, musical theater, or something else entirely, we’ll work with songs that excite you and build your confidence along the way. Creativity is a big part of every lesson. I use methods that include imagery, vocal play, rhythm work, and movement to help you better understand how your voice works and how to express what you feel. You never have to worry about making mistakes here — lessons are a judgment-free zone designed for exploration and learning. If you're preparing for a specific goal like an audition or performance, I’ll guide you with detailed feedback and support. If you’re singing for emotional expression or personal fulfillment, we’ll move in ways that feel intuitive and inspiring. I also help you structure your practice time realistically so it becomes a habit that supports you without adding stress. Beyond just singing, we can explore harmony, performance skills, vocal health, and music theory basics. My goal is to help you connect with your voice in a way that feels authentic, joyful, and uniquely your own.

About the lesson

I teach singing using a student-centered methodology based on Communication, Creativity, Cultural Sensitivity, and Accountability. Each voice holds a story, and I help my students find theirs through structured, supportive, and expressive vocal training.

Communication ensures clarity in learning. I listen to each student's challenges and aspirations, and I provide precise guidance in vocal mechanics, breathing, tone, and performance. My lessons are dynamic and discussion-driven, inviting active participation.

Creativity shapes every session. I design customized warm-ups, interpretative challenges, and creative assignments that allow students to express themselves. Whether we're reimagining a classic song or building original phrases, I encourage vocal individuality.

Cultural Sensitivity means respecting each student’s musical roots and introducing them to global sounds. Singing is a universal language, and I use multicultural examples to expand vocal expression and appreciation.

Accountability helps students turn dreams into results. With consistent check-ins, reflective exercises, and goal-setting, we build a habit of mindful practice. I provide actionable next steps at the end of each lesson, keeping students engaged and improving.

Beyond singing, I offer instruction in complementary areas like performance psychology, musical phrasing, vocal anatomy, and interpretation skills. My aim is to train well-rounded, emotionally intelligent singers who connect deeply with their art.
