About Isaac
I'm a passionate science communicator, recently graduated with a Natural Sciences degree.
I have taken my passion for science education to a number of other fields. I have written and given interactive talks for audiences aged 5-16 on a range of topics, from flight physics to carnivorous plants. I also organised a number of hands-on science outreach events as part of a charity while at University. I see this range of experience as valuable in building connections with new students.
As someone who went to Cambridge (and achieved a First) from a state school in Newcastle, I am also passionate about opening access to Oxbridge and other top universities to people from all backgrounds. I have now mentored students through two admissions cycles, seeing successful applications to Cambridge, Durham and Edinburgh.
My other hobbies include cricket, badminton, and reading.

I take great pride in helping students build scientific skills to excel, rather than simply focusing on memorisation. I have helped students achieve a great improvement in their grades, and (more importantly) a great increase in their enjoyment of STEM subjects.
My role as a tutor also includes the development of study skills: essential advice on revision and exam technique. Having recently undergone intense exams myself, I can easily empathise with students and develop their confidence.
