About Lydia
I graduated from university in Manchester five years ago with a 1st class degree in Languages and Linguistics. I have since taken a Cambridge English teaching qualification (CELTA) and have taught English in Cambridge (UK), Italy and India. I speak Italian and Spanish, which can help in lessons with students with one of these languages as their mother tongue. It also means that I am able to teach with the perspective of a language learner as well as a language teacher. I have taught CLIL lessons in history, geography, social issues and culture, as well as many IELTS preparation courses. I have a high success rates with students in the IELTS exam.

Your first lesson with me would involve a needs analysis, in which we identify your weak areas as well as what it is you would like to focus on. My lessons are very student-centred and I create courses completely around your needs.
There is the possibility to use Cambridge English textbooks and worksheets and activities that I have created myself. I never let an error go unnoticed and if general improvement of English is the goal, lesson-plans will be created based purely on the errors students make in their speech. This involves dissecting the grammar/pronunciation/vocabulary area, (re-)learning it, and then applying it in exercises as well as free spoken practice and/or written practice for homework.
