About Lorenza

After a master's degree in translation obtained in Brussels in 1995, I spent many stays in Anglo-Saxon countries before settling in Italy where I became a teacher, translator and linguistic consultant for more than 20 years. During my career, I specialized in various fields and among others in the teaching of Italian for French speakers and the teaching of French as a foreign language. The teaching of these two languages allowed me to identify at a higher level the specific difficulties in learning the Italian language on the part of French-speaking speakers and it is moreover for this reason that my experience tended to use a method that is both constructive and inductive.

About the lesson

I like to follow my students from A to Z and I attach a lot of importance to their motivation, the engine of their learning. I try to identify their personality, their strengths and their weaknesses in order to personalize my lessons according to the requirements of each one. At the start of the course, I draw up a sheet for each student with the objectives to be achieved and the path to follow that we decide by mutual agreement. I make the most of the lessons to establish a communicative interaction with my students directly in a foreign language to allow them to be able to communicate quickly and easily in Italian. The written part is generally performed independently by the students, except in the case of special requirements. For most of the languages I teach, I adopt a method that is both INDUCTIVE (which leads the student to discover the rules for himself) and CONSTRASTIVE (which emphasizes the different points between languages) and more with Italian which is a language very close to French. Each course is adapted according to the age group and the pace of learning, any specific difficulties (mother tongue, dyslexia, pronunciation, etc.). Lately, due to the epidemic, I have specialized in distance lessons on the ZOOM platform.
