A native Italian, I have taught Italian at the prestigious Foreign Service Institute { USA Dept Of State } , Inlingua and ICA Language Schools in the Washington DC area.
I use the FSI method of instruction and my aim is for the student to fall in love with both the language and the fun Italian culture.
My lessons are for the Adult student.
I have been teaching since the 1970's.
My students have including Ambassadors, Consuls, Diplomatic Support Staff, NATO and other military personnel that prepared for assignment in Italy.
I have also prepared business people, high-school students that needed to learn Italian for entrance into an Italian public school, and Americans who wished to learn this beautiful language to enrich a future trip to Italy by being able to converse with and understand the Italian people.
My students have taken USA government language tests and received excellent placement. Many of my students are still in touch after many years after they completed their studies.
Extraordinarily long distances may incur a travel charge.
If local schools have been delayed or cancelled due to weather conditions, any lesson that requires travel on the part of the professor and or student may be cancelled. The lost lesson will be re-scheduled with no extra charges. Cancellations by the student must be made by email and receipt of that notification confirmed by email by the professor a full 48 hours before scheduled. Lessons cancelled 48 hours + before schedule will be re-scheduled. Any cancellation closer than 48 hours to the lesson or a 'no-show' to a lesson will result in forfeiture of the payment of that missed lesson. Any lesson cancelled by the professor will be re-scheduled at no extra cost.
