About Manuel

I was born and raised in Naples, then moved to Bologna for school where I lived for over ten years — so I grew up with the passion and warmth of the South, and shaped my adult life in one of Italy's most cultured and vibrant cities. That mix, I think, gives me a pretty complete picture of what Italian really is.

I moved to Melbourne because this city has always fascinated me — and I'm lucky enough to have family here with Italian roots who make it feel like home from day one.

Italian isn't just my language, it's the way I think, argue, laugh, and express myself. What I love most about it is how alive it sounds — one emotion can be expressed in a hundred different ways, and every word carries a rhythm that makes the language feel rich rather than flat. That's what I try to bring into every lesson: not just grammar rules, but the personality behind the language.

I have experience working with children, teenagers, and adults in tutoring contexts, so I know that every learner is different. Some people need structure, others need conversation, others just need someone patient enough to let them make mistakes without feeling embarrassed. I adapt to you, not the other way around.

Whether you want to order confidently at a restaurant in Rome, connect with your Italian heritage, impress a client, or simply fall in love with one of the world's most expressive languages — I'm here for all of it.

About the lesson

Growing up in Italy and now living abroad, I understand firsthand what it means to navigate a new language and culture. That experience shapes how I teach: I focus on real, practical Italian — the kind you actually use in conversations, not just textbook phrases.
