About Giulia

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Translation and Interpreting and a Level 5 TEFL certification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). My academic background means I don't just speak the language—I deeply understand the mechanics of how to translate concepts smoothly between English and Italian so that it finally clicks for you.

I bring over 3 years of dedicated language teaching experience, combined with an extensive background in international corporate coaching:

1 year teaching both English and Italian to young adults back in Italy.

6 months teaching face-to-face Italian lessons right here on the Sunshine Coast, Australia, helping locals get holiday-ready.

4 years of corporate experience in multinational tech companies across Europe (3 years in Portugal and 1 year in Ireland), where I specialized in tutoring, training, and onboarding new hires and corporate stakeholders.

This unique blend of formal linguistic training and professional corporate training experience allows me to adapt quickly to your learning style, keeping lessons organized, high-energy, and highly effective.

G'day! I’m Giulia, a native Italian speaker passionate about making language learning practical, engaging, and completely stress-free.

Whether you are preparing for a dream holiday to Venice, wanting to connect with your Italian heritage, or aiming to master the language from scratch, my lessons are tailored entirely around your personal goals. I welcome students of all ages and all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced speakers.

My Teaching Methodology

Forget memorizing endless grammar tables out of context. My approach is rooted in Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). This means we focus on real communication from day one.

To get you speaking confidently, our lessons will feature interactive role-plays based on real-life situations you actually want to face, such as:

- Ordering food and wine like a local in a Roman trattoria.
- Navigating transport and asking for directions during your Italian holidays.
- Meeting and chatting with Italian family members or making new friends.
- Handling everyday conversations with natural, authentic expressions (not textbook jargon!).

Lesson Structure & Duration

A typical lesson lasts 1 hour, which is the perfect amount of time to stay focused, absorb new material, and get plenty of speaking practice without feeling overwhelmed.
