About Emanuele

I’m an Italian cellist, post-graduated, currently living and working in Paris. I’m a private teacher with over than 40 students from all around the world (France, Italy, Switzerland, USA and Australia) thanks to the possibilities offered by online teaching. In addition to this I’m the professor of La Cabin Des Petits Musiciens, a private music school based in Paris.
I’ve got a Suzuki Diploma, a Bachelor in Romantic Cello at G. Verdi Conservatorio of Turin (IT), a Baroque Cello Diploma by the Conservatoire de Paris, a Master Degree by the Conservatoire de Versailles (FR) and a second Master Degree in Classic and Romantic Repertoire from Saintes (FR).
I have a background of 23 years of studies and professional work in romantic music, baroque (on historical instruments) and modern music for my solo project of Cello & Electro Music named “Ema Olly”.

About the lesson

I offer online lessons for any level and age. My teaching method is based on the Suzuki Method, a well known and efficient approach to the cello that aims to develop the musicality as well as the technique. The student will be guided through refining his musical taste, his artistic sensibility and developing a precise listening that is indispensable for a tuneful sound.

I’ve had the chance to study with many different teachers from all over Europe such as Enrico Dindo (Italian romantic cello soloist), Antonio Mosca (founder of the Suzuki Academy in Europe), Jérôme Lefranc (cellist at the Opera Bastille in Paris), Atsushi Sakaï and David Simpson (pioneers of the baroque cello in France) and Balasz Mate (first cellist of Jordi Savall’s orchestra). In addition to this, my professional work has brought me to play alongside with very talented musicians and ensembles from all over Europe such as Pablo Valetti (Cafe Zimmermann), Hervé Niquet (Le Concert Spirituel), Jean Tubery (La Fenice) and Francesco Corti (Il Pomo d’Oro), and gave me the possibility to perform on stages such as Theatre Des Champs Elysee, RAI di Torino, Konzerthaus of Wien and Vatican’s Chambers in occasion of a concert for the Pope in 2019.

These experiences allowed me to put together different specific cello techniques with various styles of music interpretation, that I teach to all my students in order for them to progress faster.
