About Luigi

I hold a degree in Cognitive Neuroscience and Clinical Neuropsychology, a program taught entirely in English that put me in close contact with classmates from all over the world. It was during those years that I started informally helping them learn Italian, discovering how much I loved sharing my language with people from completely different backgrounds.

But deep down, I'm also a traveler: I did two Erasmus exchanges in Spain, and today I live in Tenerife. Traveling the world has taught me that language isn't just grammar and vocabulary — it's the real key to connecting with people and truly understanding their traditions and customs, not as a tourist, but as someone who wants genuine contact with a culture.

For over a year now, I've been working professionally as an Italian teacher on Preply, with all kinds of students: those starting from zero, those dreaming of or about to start a new life in Italy, those who want to learn so they can finally understand and be understood by their girlfriend's or boyfriend's family. My scientific background helps me explain grammar clearly and logically, but it's really my traveler's spirit that guides my method: I want you not just to learn the rules, but to truly live Italian — the way I would if I were learning your language in a new country.

About the lesson

My method is personalized for each student: there is no standard procedure, but a plan built around your level, your pace and your goals.

As I work, I always start from the construction of solid foundations, helping you understand the "building blocks" of the language — grammar and structure — in a clear and gradual way. But it doesn't stop here: from the very first lesson, we alternate this work with moments of real conversation on the most varied topics, because I believe you learn to speak by speaking, not just by studying the rules.

To help you understand, I use authentic materials:

Podcasts to get used to natural spoken Italian
Books and texts suited to your level
Videos to work on your pronunciation, intonation and cultural context
Songs to learn vocabulary and expressions in a pleasant and memorable way

I work with students of every level, from beginners to those who are close to perfecting fluidity and naturalness in speech. Whether you need Italian for work, travel, exams, or simply for passion, we build together the path most suited to you.
