About Catia

I was born in Rome and grew up in Fara Sabina on the hills overlooking the capital.

After obtaining a Diploma in POLITICAL SCIENCE in Rome, I moved to France and to improve my French I opted for a MASTER 2 IN GEOGRAPHY and planning in Albi: the best practice for progressing in the language!

I wanted to show the beauty of my culture to the whole world so I took a CEDILS COURSE FOR TEACHING ITALIAN TO FOREIGNERS at Ca Foscari University in Venice.

Today I put all my creativity and my passion in this activity so that you can meet and discover my country, Italy!

Buongiorno!
My name is Catia, I was born and raised in Rome, I have lived in Albi for 16 years.
I have been teaching Italian at the Ecole de Mines, and History Geography in high schools and/or vocational training centers for several years.

I can teach Italian at any level, and depending on your needs, I know how to adapt and invent resources so that you are autonomous in this journey of learning my mother tongue.
I can also teach History-Geography for students who are enrolled in an international school

My lessons are adapted to your level and your needs.
Indeed, the courses are never the same and the resources used are always different because it is your needs that direct all of my work.
The 4 axes will be approached: vocabulary, grammar, oral comprehension/expression and written linguistic production.

The courses are structured in two parts:
1) sending videos, audios, texts, images, different media, (grammar, reading, exercises) upstream, in order to view before the work that will be discussed together online;
2) Online work to deepen the content sent, proofreading and oral work. This part takes place on Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, or Skype platforms

For conversation, your topics of interest will be privileged for in-depth work and to enrich vocabulary.
If you have an intermediate level, several specific modules are designed for more fun and enriching language work, such as:
- Italian in the business world;
- Italian through reading books;
- Italian through the language of art;
- Italian through emotions and colors;
- Italian through culinary art and recipes.

Free 30-minute trial lesson for:
- Check your level of Italian through a test;
- Define your needs and build an ad hoc program for you;
- Define the schedule of our meetings;
- Set payment method.

Learning a language is not only knowing grammar and vocabulary, but it is feeding on a culture different from ours that can open our soul to a journey not only external but also internal.

Sessions are one to one and a half hours, or as needed.
