About Ankit

I'm a straight-A student ranked in the top 1% of my class, with a strong academic background and a proven ability to lead and communicate effectively. In addition to excelling in school, I’ve served as President of several student organizations, including the Chess Club, Green Team, and Service Club, where I developed strong leadership and interpersonal skills. I’ve also been a varsity tennis player for all four years of high school, balancing athletics with academics and extracurriculars. About the lesson

As a tutor, I utilize a structured, patient approach that emphasizes developing deep understanding rather than just memorizing. I alter each lesson to fit the student's preferred learning style and speed, making difficult ideas understandable and doable through extensive explanations, guided practice, and immediate feedback. An average lesson consists of a brief check-in to discuss goals, a detailed review of recent content, a thorough explanation of important ideas or problems, and a brief conclusion to confirm learning objectives and make plans for the future. I stand out because I recently finished these same high school and AP courses myself, graduating with straight As, so I know the material and the mindset required to succeed. I have more than fifty hours of experience as a tutor, and helped students achieve real progress, including raising one student's math grade from a D to an A-. I tutor math from elementary to high school (including AP Statistics), science (AP bio, APCSP, APES, HS chem, HS physics), English (AP lang), AP Government. One of my strongest teaching techniques is being able to utilize analogies to explain difficult concepts and make them less complex to comprehend.
