About Jordan
I am a current student at the University of Toronto Law School and just graduated from Ivey Business School at Western University. Throughout high school and university I was both a volunteer and paid tutor in a wide range of subjects, but I feel most effective when it comes to accounting and finance. As a tutor, I am very flexible on meeting times and methods (ie. zoom, in-person, etc.) and want to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. I was also a grader for the second year comprehensive accounting course at Western, so I will be able to help give insights on what makes successful exams and common mistakes that I came across. Outside of school I enjoy playing and watching sports, cooking, and experiencing everything Toronto has to offer!

Focused on basic accounting and finance practices, open to working lesson by lesson as finance and accounting courses progress. Will work within the methods taught by your professor and cater the lessons to your learning style. As a former accounting grader and honor roll student at Ivey Business School I understand what is necessary to achieve strong grades and write successful exams. Will be able to assist with mid-term and finals prep including running through mock tests. Will be able to assist with any introductory or accounting 1 courses in either later years of high school or first 3 years of university. Example topics/lessons: - Basic transaction recording (debits, credits, assets, liabilities, etc.) - Depreciation calculations (straight line, double declining balance, units of production) - Closing Entries - How to read the basic financial statements (cash flow, balance sheets, income statements) - Ratio analysis (how to calculate and what they mean) - Inventory management and recording - Finance basic valuation methods (DCF, multipliers, etc.) - Understanding basic financial concepts - Variety of economic topics (supply/demand curves, understanding GDP, evaluating bond markets, and trends in global economics)

Jordan helped me with some university level courses. He is a great tutor who explains complex concepts in a simple manner. Super articulate, and genuinely wants the student to succeed. He also has great advice when it comes to different careers, and university pathways. Would for sure recommend Jordan as a tutor!
I participated alongside Jordan in multiple accounting classes at Western and Ivey. To be completely honest, I could not understand what the teacher was saying most times. Within 30 minutes of debrief and tutoring after class from Jordan, I felt like I could teach the course. Jordan is a great tutor, greater person. Rates are very fair.
