About Jacob
I have been playing saxophone for over 25 years, and have a passion for music and teaching. I am currently working towards my bachelor's degree in fine arts for Music Education, and play in multiple bands and music projects around the valley.

As a teacher, Jacob emphasizes solid fundamentals, musical understanding, and expressive playing, helping students develop confidence, strong technique, and the ability to improvise with intention. His background outside of music also brings a high level of organization, reliability, and clear communication to his teaching. Jacob works with beginners through advancing players and tailors lessons to each student’s goals, whether that’s learning the basics, preparing for school ensembles, or diving deeper into jazz improvisation.
