Hi! I'm Sakura, a Japanese teacher based in Osaka! I have lived in Osaka, Fukuoka, and Australia I lived in Australia for two years, and I absolutely love Australia! 🤍 I have experience working as a pastry chef and as a student support staff member at a Japanese language school At the Japanese language school, I supported international students from all over the world and helped organize Japanese cultural experiences and activities around Osaka. Through my work, I've had many opportunities to share the beauty of Japan with people from overseas, including Japanese culture, food, sightseeing, and everyday life Living abroad also taught me how challenging it can be when you don't understand the language or experience cultural differences. I'm currently learning English and Spanish myself! Because I know both the fun and the challenges of learning a foreign language, I always want my students to feel comfortable and think, “It's okay to make mistakes!” People often describe me as friendly, cheerful, and easy to talk to I love talking with people, listening to their stories, learning new things, and new experiences! I'd also love to hear all about you, your interests, and your life.

Let's have fun learning Japanese through topics that you truly enjoy and are interested in! ️ Conversation-Focused Lessons To improve your Japanese, it's important to actually use Japanese and speak as much as possible During my lessons, I'll give you plenty of opportunities to speak Japanese. Don't worry about making mistakes! Let's enjoy speaking Japanese at your own pace. Complete Beginners Are Welcome! Have you never studied Japanese before? No problem! I can help you step by step with the basics, including Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji, pronunciation, greetings, and self-introductions. I want to make learning Japanese feel rewarding and enjoyable, and I'll be there to support you until “I don't understand” becomes “I got it!” ️ Like Having a Chat with a Japanese Friend at a Café My lessons are not rigid textbook-style classes. Instead, I want you to feel like you're having a relaxed and enjoyable conversation with a Japanese friend at a café. You can choose what you'd like to talk about depending on your interests and how you feel that day. “I want to talk about this today!” — Feel free to bring any topic you like! From “Textbook Japanese” to “Natural Japanese” I'll teach you natural expressions that native Japanese speakers actually use in everyday conversations, as well as tips that are difficult to learn from textbooks alone. Have you ever wondered: “Does this Japanese sound natural?” “How would a Japanese person actually say this?” Feel free to ask me anything! ️ Japanese for Your Trip to Japan Let's practice useful Japanese that you can actually use during your trip to Japan through fun role-plays! For example: ・Ordering at a restaurant ・Shopping ・Asking questions at a hotel ・Asking for directions ・Asking questions at a train station We'll practice realistic situations so you can feel more confident using Japanese in Japan! If you're traveling to the Kansai area, I can also teach you some Osaka dialect (Osaka-ben)! I'd Love to Hear About You!
