I spent most of my evenings for a few years teaching my bosses how to code - and that shows you the level of confidence I have in my skillset (and the patience I can display) :)

We start with the normal building blocks, but all within the sprit of completing a task or a little challenge. Then, you get a task or a challenge to complete on your own using the same building blocks. Finally, you explain it back to me. As they say: "See one, do one, teach one."
I like putting together projects that make sense for you, and your interests (or current knowledge), in such a way that there is a degree of familiarity when you read the code!
