About Edmund
I am a 23 year old jazz drummer, currently doing a Masters in Jazz at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. I am also a First Class graduate of Oxford University, specialising in the history of jazz in New Orleans. I have performed in pop, rock, and classical styles, and am currently the Principal Drummer of Guildhall's Bauhaus Band. Since 2017, I have been an assistant professor on the Dordogne International Jazz Summer School.

I tailor my lessons to the preferred repertoire of each student. I want students to learn to play the music they like, while keeping a strong focus on technique and musicality. With this aim, I encourage students to keep practice and listening diaries. I am a jazz specialist, but have performed and across Classical, Rock, Pop, and R&B styles. I teach privately at all ages and levels, and lessons can be Grade-oriented or on a more casual basis. Lessons typically last one hour.

Excellent! I liked that he gave me tips and practice routines to improve my technique. I also liked that he demonstrated how many different sounds you could get around the drums by playing differently. :)
