About Christian
I have thousands of hours of experience teaching the piano both from a performance and theory perspective and over 15 years of playing. I graduated with a B.A. in Music from Skidmore College, where I studied piano, especially jazz piano. I am especially good with beginners, and I am excited to work with students who are looking to understand music from a theory and compositional perspective, as this matches my own skills and teaching style most.

I have thousands of hours of experience helping my students learn the piano from the very first steps. My focus is on preparing my students for the types of music they want to play and create. I help my students learn songs from both a performance and a compositional perspective, allowing them to use these techniques in the settings they are most interested in. Whether they are looking to produce music, play in bands with friends, or just learn songs for their own satisfaction, I give my students the tools they need to incorporate music into their life holistically.
