About Blaz
I am a classically trained professional saxophonist. I graduated from a music school in Slovenia for 8 years, then 4 years from the conservatory in Maribor, where I have performed many times as a soloist with wind bands, symphonic orchestras and big bands. After all, I studied saxophone at the renowned art university in Graz for two more years. I then opened up that it was time for me to study jazz. I've been a jazz saxophone student in Linz ever since.
I've been playing in a big band for 10 years, have gained a lot of experience in various wind bands and have won many first prizes at various competitions over the years.

I give saxophone lessons for complete beginners or advanced amateur musicians. I teach children, teenagers, adults and seniors.
I was trained as a classical saxophonist in Graz and am now studying jazz at the Bruckneruni in Linz.
Possibilities of lessons:
- Jazz basics: reading lead sheets, theory, rhythm, harmony, transcription, technique, improvisation, scales, chords, patterns...
- Jazz saxophone mentoring.
- I can accompany you on electric bass, baritone saxophone, piano or drums while playing/improvising. We can play duet.
- Elementary music lessons for beginners: recorder flute, rhythm, ear training, fingerings for wind instruments...
- Learn to read music notation, chords, lead sheets for beginners.
- Basics of playing the saxophone: technique, reading music, basic theory, tone, rhythm, ear, simple repertoire of your choice
- Classical and modern advanced saxophone repertoire and advanced playing techniques.
Bonus:
- Beginner electric bass lessons.
- Beginner recorder lessons.
Languages: English, German, Slovenian, Serbo-Croatian.
