About Benedict
My name is Benedict. I am a double bassist/composer/arranger. I have been playing the bass for about 14 years. I completed my undergraduate at Berklee College of Music & have just finished my master's at New England Conservatory. I have teaching experience teaching classical music theory to students age 12 to 18. I have also coached and led my own ensembles and groups, writing from small combo to big bands to chamber orchestras. I have also won various awards for my compositions including the ASCAP Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composers Award and Best Film Score at the Seoul International Short Film Festival. I also have had experience playing with many amazing musicians during my studies and was exposed to so many unique musical cultures. I hope that my knowledge & experiences could be passed down to any students who want to learn bass, understand jazz/contemporary music, are preparing for their ABRSM exams or just want an appreciation of music.
