About Thiago

I am an 18 years old 3rd generation Japanese-Brazilian born in Brazil. As my family can't speak Japanese, I had to learn it all from zero by myself. I decided to focus on it during the pandemic and could reach the N1 level in a short period of time. I used to study it all day, and as I really liked it, I didn't even feel that I was studying. I got to a level in which I could already teach others in a detailed and advanced way so I started by teaching some relatives and friends and a lot of them said that I should start giving classes on it since they liked it a lot. Nowadays, I teach Japanese online in Brazil to people in the Japanese community, people that want to pass the JLPT, and people that want to learn it in an efficient and quick way.

About the lesson

In my classes, I teach freely (what the student wants to study. If they already have some material they would like to follow, I can instruct them.) But, I teach mostly by using free content so that the student doesn't need to spend money on external materials. I try to use media like Videos and Movies so we can base on them to learn vocabulary and grammar. As for Kanji, I will be using a different approach using mnemonics for actually learning it and understanding its meaning.

Since I know him in person, he showed me some tricks, apps and many different resources he uses for language learning that I didn't know before and they even helped me a lot too.
