About Demi
Hey there! I'm Demi, a Sagittarius who loves exploring new experiences. I recently found hiking deeply interesting, because it is an attractive way to fulfill and recharge by embracing nature. This reminds me of travelling across Canada during my studies. Volunteering and supporting children with Down syndrome alongside fellow foreign volunteers. Together, we explored creativity through painting and music, making a lasting impact on me. Now, living in Shanghai, I'm excited to share my passion for language learning. Teaching Method and Techniques
Prefer to use a student-centred approach, focusing on interactive and engaging methods to make learning enjoyable. The techniques include conversational practice, multimedia resources, and real-life scenarios to enhance comprehension and retention.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
1. Warm-up (5 minutes): casual chat or fun icebreaker.
2. Review (5 minutes): Quick recap of previous lessons.
3. Introduction (15 minutes): Introduce new topics and vocabulary with engaging videos, pictures, stories, etc.
4. Practice & application (15 minutes): Engage in interactive activities, such as discussions, role-play, and creative tasks.
5. Feedback (5 minutes): Provide mutual feedback and answer questions.

My diverse teaching experience, including teaching English to adults and volunteering to teach Chinese to foreign students, allows me to understand and address individual learning needs. I also hold a TEM-8 certification, an IELTS score of 7, and an American TESOL certificate.
