About May
Hi! I’m May Lee, currently living in Canada. I graduated with a degree in Journalism, where I learned to appreciate storytelling and communication in all forms. After spending a few months in China working as a tour guide for foreigners, I discovered my passion for teaching Chinese and sharing the culture behind it. My lessons are relaxed, engaging, and built on real understanding — not just memorization. I love creating a comfortable space where learning feels natural, and where we can connect, learn, and maybe even become friends along the way!

Chinese can seem intimidating at first — the tones, the characters, the writing that looks almost like art. But Chinese is so much more than a language. Every word has a story, every character has roots that connect to history and culture. In my lessons, we break the language down to its origins and explore the meaning behind it all.
