About Lysandre

I'm Lysandre, a journalism student at the University of Maryland in the United States. After graduating from high school in France, I chose to pursue my studies abroad to become bilingual and open myself up to new perspectives. Passionate about the French language, I put my skills to good use by running my own online newspaper, written entirely in French.
I don't claim to be the best student, but my curiosity and motivation have enabled me to develop a solid command of French, both written and spoken. My experience between France and the United States enables me to adopt a variety of teaching methods adapted to the needs of my students.
With three years of higher education and an open mind, I'm ready to share my knowledge and accompany my students with seriousness and professionalism. My teaching approach is both human and rigorous, and I'm convinced that, whatever the level, every student can progress and flourish in learning French.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor focuses first and foremost on listening and understanding the student's needs. During the first session, I spend 30 minutes discussing with the student his or her difficulties, or even why he or she doesn't like French. This gives me a better idea of their needs. I then draw up a detailed lesson plan, adapted to the student's needs and objectives.
For me, a lesson is above all a conversation. We discuss in French topics of interest to the student, to make the language lively and accessible. My aim is for the student to gain confidence and progress naturally. I'm always very positive and supportive, providing constant motivation.
My lessons take place online, and what sets me apart is my youth, which enables me to understand what a young person wants and adapt to their needs. Having studied in France and the United States, I can adapt to different teaching methods. My lessons are aimed at students of all levels, from elementary school to college.
