About Coby
As a graduate of The Juilliard School with a BA and Master’s degree in Jazz Performance, I’ve performed at NYC venues such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Birdland Jazz Club, and Carnegie Hall After performing my composition "June" on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert in 2022, I released my debut EP, Village, across all streaming platforms, followed by the recent release of my large ensemble project, Ghost in the Ceiling.
With seven years of teaching experience with beginning to advanced musicians, including serving as a Teaching Fellow and Practice Coach in the Juilliard Music Advancement Program, I am currently accepting students of all ages and skill levels for private lessons in saxophone, flute, clarinet, and piano.

Having recently graduated from the Juilliard School with my master's degree, I have been teaching private lessons in and around NYC for over 7 years. I currently teach students of all levels and ages, typically starting with basic concepts like scales and music theory and then transitioning to harder classical etudes and/or learning jazz improvisation depending on each student's interest. Zoom lessons are $60, and in person lessons are $80 at a midtown studio.
