About Marilyn
Graduating from The Juilliard School with a Master of Music in Music Performance provided the foundation for my 11 years of instruction. My technical training is intense.
I work regularly with nervous beginners who are just starting out. Advanced learners and intermediate students also seek my guidance for performance polish. My studio environment remains strictly focused on real progress. I deal with breath, diction, and vocal health daily.
Every student receives a personalized song list built around their specific vocal range. This keeps training relevant and structurally sound. I adjust my feedback to ensure you understand exactly what your voice is doing.
My style is direct and honest because your development depends on clarity. You will find that I maintain a steady, disciplined approach to your growth.

Singing well is often less about talent and more about physical mechanics. Many singers focus on feeling while ignoring the actual science of their instrument. My 11 years of experience allow me to identify technical hurdles immediately. I combine this with my Juilliard training to solve complex phrasing issues.
Most problems resolve when you finally understand your own anatomy. Vocal health remains my priority during every single meeting we have. I will teach you how to manage your range without straining your cords.
You will leave with a clear plan for your next practice session. Finding the joy in a difficult piece is the ultimate goal.
