Hello! My name is Ben McSherry and I am a Bay Area-based touring and session guitarist that has over 25 years experience as a live-performing and studio musician. I have played everywhere from intimate jazz lounges to 200,000 person metal festivals in Europe and recorded everything from garage rock in a literal garage to working with Grammy-nominated producers.
My lessons focus on leveraging my experience to help students grasp complete fretboard knowledge, building confidence in understand both HOW to play something properly as well as WHY they’re playing that and internalizing how music functions, all while keeping lessons engaging and fun.
Regardless of what style of music you love I have a wealth of knowledge for every genre between Metal, rock, blues, jazz, country, folk, pop and everything in between so matter the style you love I’ll be able to help you reach your goals!
