About Thomas
Junior Aerospace Engineering Student (3rd Year) | AP & IB Physics Specialist
I am currently an engineering student at IPSA (Paris), where I apply physics principles daily to aerospace design and structural analysis. Having cleared the rigorous French Classes Préparatoires system, I have a deep mastery of classical and modern mechanics.
I specialize in helping high school students bridge the gap between "classroom theory" and the high-level problem solving required for elite college admissions. My sessions are high-intensity, structured, and designed for students aiming for STEM careers at top-tier universities.
Availability:
Based in Paris, I offer prime late-afternoon and evening slots for the US East Coast (starting at 3:30 PM EST).
Introductory Rate: $48/hr (Targeting the first 5 students to build my US profile).

Physics isn't about memorizing formulas—it's about understanding how the world moves. Most students struggle with AP Physics 1, C, or IB Physics because they try to treat it like a math class. I teach Physics through the lens of an Aerospace Engineer, making abstract concepts visible and logical.
My "Engineering-First" Teaching System:
Visualizing Mechanics: We don't just solve for "Force." We visualize the stresses on an aircraft wing or the trajectory of a satellite. When you see the physical reality, the math follows naturally.
For students in AP Physics C, I bridge the gap between their math and science classes, showing exactly how derivatives and integrals are the "language" of motion.
IA & Lab Report Support (IB): I help IB students structure their Internal Assessments (IAs) with the technical precision required for a 7-score, focusing on error analysis and data interpretation.
I provide the specific "Free Response Question" (FRQ) templates that graders look for, ensuring students maximize their points even on the hardest problems.
Every session is held on a digital whiteboard. Students receive a high-res PDF of our derivations and a set of "Engineer’s Cheat Sheets" for their specific unit.

Great teacher! Calm, composed, and patient, he easily communicates complex notions. Would definitely recommend.
Mon fils a réussi à augmenter sa moyenne général grâce à la physique alors que c’était peine perdue. Très calme et patient je recommande.

My son managed to raise his overall average thanks to physics, even though it seemed like a lost cause. Very calm and patient, I recommend him.I highly recommend this physics teacher to anyone looking for clear, structured, and engaging lessons. Thomas knows how to make complex concepts easy to understand. His explanations are always patient, precise, and adapted to the student’s level, which makes learning much less stressful and far more effective. He's also reliable, well-prepared, and genuinely supportive. You can feel that they truly care about your progress. If you want to strengthen your foundations or aim for excellence in physics, you’re in very good hands.
I have known this young man for many years and can vouch for his qualities with full objectivity, being a trainer myself. He really adapts to the student. He helps students understand rather than just memorize. This is key for scientific subjects.
Thomas is a great teacher. He has helped me understand complicated differential equations in mechanics. He's calm and explains every topic clearly, adapting to my rythm and learning style.
Thomas is very pedagogical and patient. Thanks to him, physics becomes much simpler and more interesting. It gives me confidence and really helps me to progress and get better grades.
Thomas has a real talent for physics. He understands every concept in great detail, and has a real gift at identifying the student's deficiencies, so that he can transform those into strengths. I have seen him teach for many years, and I can say I am surprised every time. He always takes the best and most personalized approach to everyone's profile, granting the students the ability to truly understand what the concept is about.
I’ve seen Thomas explain complex physics and math problems to peers for years. He has a unique ability to break down scary topics into logical steps. He is patient, native in English, and incredibly dedicated. He can make anyone's progression take off !
