About Angharad

Hello!

I'm Angharad, a passionate MSc Data Science and Analytics student at Cardiff uni with three years of tutoring experience. Having recently completed a Bsc Maths degree at King's College London, I am driven by a deep love for numbers and problem-solving. With a mathematical academic background encompassing A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and the Welsh Baccalaureate—earning an A* in Maths and four A grades—I bring a robust understanding of these subjects.

I have received positive reviews for my calm and thorough approach in helping every student - including those with SEN needs, and Welsh-medium students - achieve their specific goals and target grades.

My maths journey started with a 13A* at GCSE, including in Maths and Numeracy. I firmly believe that this academic foundation equips me to effectively guide students in their learning journey.

A fun fact about me is that I worked in a local chip shop for two years whilst completing my A-Levels, so I'm very comfortable chatting to people! I hope to create a more comfortable, casual learning environment whilst still tackling tricky subjects.

I'm enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge and fostering a supportive environment for learning. Alongside 3 years of professional tutoring experience, I've helped siblings and friends with maths for years, and my approach includes breaking down complex subjects into digestible pieces and drawing from real life examples.

I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and grow their confidence in tackling complex mathematical challenges.

My qualifications enable me to provide personalised guidance, helping students navigate through Maths and related subjects with ease. I'm committed to not just teaching content but also instilling problem-solving skills and a genuine appreciation for the subject.

A typical lesson will last an hour, and will cover areas that you're finding tricky.
