I studied materials science at first degree level and engineering with management at master's degree level. I have a deep passion for science and engineering, and I believe that teaching

I am a qualified Physics tutor with a strong background in Materials Science and Engineering and experience teaching Years 10, 11, and 12, supporting them as they prepare for their A-level examination. I specialize in preparing students for WAEC and other exam standards, with particular strength in Mechanics, Waves, Electricity, Energy Quantization, and Atomic/Nuclear Physics. My teaching approach focuses on breaking complex concepts into simple, clear explanations and guiding students through step-by-step problem solving to build confidence and accuracy.
My goal is to help students develop deep understanding, analytical thinking, and consistent academic excellence in Physics. In my lessons, I use clear explanations, guided discussions, demonstrations, videos, laboratory experiments (when necessary), and structured question-and-answer sessions to communicate subject knowledge effectively. I actively engage and motivate students by beginning lessons with thought-provoking questions linked to real-world applications, helping to make abstract physics concepts more concrete and meaningful. To incentivise learning, I occasionally reward students who demonstrate strong critical thinking with small learning resources such as pens, mathematical sets, or calculators, which has helped to foster healthy competition and participation. I manage classroom behaviour through calm, respectful communication, addressing low-level disruption promptly and appropriately by redirecting attention, reinforcing expectations, or exploring underlying causes when necessary.
To support learning and monitor progress, I use both formative and summative assessments, group discussions, and structured assignments, providing scaffolding and additional support where students struggle.
