About Zeshan
I’m a qualified secondary science teacher with a PGCE and an enhanced DBS, offering expert tuition in GCSE and A-level Biology and Chemistry. I’ve completed four teaching placements across secondary, primary, and SEND settings, giving me a well-rounded understanding of how to support students of all abilities. Academically, I hold: A BSc in Medical Sciences A BSc in Applied Biochemistry A Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health from King’s College London Alongside my teaching, I’m also active in youth development through Scouts, which has strengthened my skills in patience, communication, and building confidence in young learners. I focus not just on subject knowledge, but on helping students develop exam technique, independent thinking, and a positive mindset towards science.

Each lesson is carefully structured to maximise understanding, confidence, and exam success. I use the “I Do, We Do, You Do” method: starting with direct instruction, then guided practice, and finishing with independent tasks or exam-style questions. This gradual approach supports students in mastering difficult concepts and applying them effectively. I tailor lessons to the student’s exam board (AQA, OCR, Edexcel, etc.) and focus on recall, application, and long-answer writing. I also provide optional homework and mini-quizzes to strengthen memory and track progress. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, allowing enough time to introduce or review content, practise it, and address misconceptions. The first session (30–40 minutes) is free and used to identify the exam board, review current work (textbooks, reports, etc.), and build a personalised learning plan.
