About Charlotte
I have 20 years of teaching experience and hold a Master of Philosophy in Mathematics. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students from secondary schools, colleges, and universities, helping them develop both mathematical understanding and confidence through supportive, structured instruction. I find great satisfaction in helping learners overcome challenges that once seemed impossible.
One student experienced difficulty solving quadratic equations because interpreting graphs and connecting algebraic solutions with graphical representations was confusing. Through graph-based learning activities, visual demonstrations, and consistent practice, the student gradually developed a deeper understanding of quadratic relationships. This improvement resulted in significantly higher examination scores and greater confidence when approaching advanced mathematical topics.
I believe learning is most successful when students feel encouraged to explore ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and develop confidence through consistent practice. My classroom promotes curiosity, discipline, collaboration, and independent thinking while ensuring every learner feels supported throughout the learning process.
Outside teaching, I enjoy studying mathematical history, creating advanced learning resources, and exploring innovative educational approaches that improve student engagement. These experiences continually inspire fresh teaching methods and meaningful classroom activities. I would be delighted to help you build lasting confidence and success in algebra.

I believe algebra should be taught as a language of logical reasoning rather than a collection of formulas to memorize. Every student's learning journey begins with a thorough evaluation of current knowledge, academic expectations, and preferred learning style. Based on this assessment, I develop a personalized study plan that strengthens foundational concepts before introducing increasingly advanced algebraic techniques.
Students gain confidence in simplifying algebraic expressions, solving linear and quadratic equations, working with inequalities, graphing functions, manipulating exponents and radicals, factoring polynomials, solving systems of equations, understanding sequences, and applying algebra to real-world situations. Lessons include detailed explanations, guided examples, collaborative activities, and independent practice designed to improve conceptual understanding and mathematical accuracy.
Practical applications from engineering, economics, computer programming, architecture, environmental science, and finance demonstrate how algebra supports everyday decision-making and professional careers. Students regularly participate in reasoning exercises, mathematical investigations, and problem-solving discussions that develop analytical thinking and encourage multiple solution strategies. Continuous review ensures that every new concept builds naturally upon previously mastered material.
Students preparing for school examinations, board assessments, SAT, ACT, university entrance examinations, or competitive mathematics tests receive individualized preparation plans featuring structured revision schedules, topic-based assessments, examination techniques, and comprehensive performance analysis. Regular feedback and targeted assignments help students steadily improve confidence, accuracy, and examination readiness.
