About Heeju

Hi! My name is Heeju, and I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the University of the Arts London.

I’m passionate about teaching and creating a relaxed, friendly learning environment where students can feel comfortable making mistakes and expressing themselves in Korean. I’m also currently preparing to become a teacher in the UK.

I have around one year of teaching experience in Korea, where I taught Korean, English, and art to elementary school children, students of different ages, and students with disabilities. Through this experience, I learned that every student has their own pace and learning style, so I always try to make my lessons engaging, flexible, and personalised.

About the lesson

What can you learn with me?

Rather than simply memorising vocabulary and grammar, we can learn Korean through topics that genuinely interest you.

Depending on your goals, our lessons can include:

• Everyday Korean conversations
• Speaking and pronunciation
• Reading and writing
• Korean grammar and vocabulary
• Korean slang and expressions used in real life
• Korean culture and everyday life
• Interesting topics chosen together based on your interests

Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some knowledge of Korean, I’ll adapt the lesson to your level and goals.

Most importantly, you don’t need to worry about making mistakes! I want my lessons to feel like a comfortable conversation with a friendly teacher rather than a stressful classroom.

If you want to improve your Korean while talking about things you genuinely enjoy, I’d love to meet you and help you become more confident in Korean.

Andy was very friendly and easy to communicate with. He provided clear information about his children and their schedules, which made arranging the lesson straightforward.
