About Jimmy
I am a UCL alumnus, currently working in Canary Wharf as a Financial Services Professional. I grew up in Taiwan, having lived there for 15+ years while studying under an international curriculum. As a Korean, I have native fluency in Korean and English, while also retaining a strong grasp of Mandarin Chinese (Traditional). I have had several years of experience in tutoring, helping people polish their English, Korean and Chinese skills. Primarily my focus has been to help people with standardized testing (SAT, IELTS, AP and IB courses), but I have also held 1-on-1 speaking and comprehension classes that are designed to help increase aptitude in day-to-day interaction.

Personally, it depends on the student's goal. However, I look to start off by identifying a mutual topic with which the student is able to express an opinion about, and interchange English explanations while holding the conversation in Korean.
As well, these lessons are filled with lessons on basic phonetics and alphabets to help develop the student's base understanding.
Ultimately, I spend the first lesson trying to get a grasp of the student's level of understanding, as well as to see what goal he/she/they are trying to achieve!
