About Louise

I am a half French, half Austrian freelance writer, director, translator, and teacher. I grew up bilingually and obtained the French baccalaureate in natural sciences with a distinction in 2014, and then went on to study at the University of Oxford for five years. There, I obtained a BA in Modern Languages (French and German) and a Master's in Comparative Literature and Critical Translation. I have also regularly taught foreign languages and literature, both in a private capacity as tutor and as a language assistant at school.

About the lesson

My teaching method is always focused on individual needs and goals. I value patience, enthusiasm and challenging support the most, as this is also the way I was successfully taught. Overall, my aim is always to build up academic confidence. If a student's goal is to expand their knowledge and critical thinking skill, I believe creative thinking and being challenged are the way to go. If a student is looking to prepare for a specific set of exams (A-Levels, IGCSE, Baccalaureate, finals), it's also important to zoom in on the exact format that is required of them, and what type of work will earn them the best result.
