I have over 10 years of teaching experience, from High School through Higher Education. I have a Ph.D. in Latin American cultural studies and I have taught both ESL and Spanish courses at a variety of institutions, corporations, nonprofits and universities across the United States and Latin America.

I like to work with authentic materials from the Spanish-speaking world to generate conversation topics, to focus on grammatical form, and to motivate students to continue to consume Spanish-language media, culture, music, and journalism. I have a communicative, student-centered approach where I like to develop lessons that involve students' interest to motivate a deeper engagement with language and culture.
