About Amelia
Singing feels best when the mechanics disappear and only the story remains, which is exactly how I structure our practice time. I lean on my 15 years of experience to teach sight singing and pitch control in ways that feel like play rather than rigid drills. My lessons cater to everyone from absolute beginners to grade exam candidates by focusing on the specific genre you enjoy most. You will find that our time together centers on protecting your vocal health while expanding your range.

Absolute beginners often find the first few notes intimidating, but the air in the room shifts once they find their true resonance. My own journey started in Lima, playing flamenco and Latin guitar for 20 years, which taught me that singing is an extension of our physical identity. I carry a BA in Latin American Music Studies from UCLA that informs how I approach rhythm, phrasing, and genre styling. I work with advanced learners and performance-focused students to refine their diction, articulation, and overall vocal health.
Whether you are preparing for grade exams or just finding your voice, I focus on the connection between your body and your sound. We will watch performance recordings together each month to sharpen your critical ear and technique. Every session brings you closer to the confidence you seek on stage.
