About Lisa
I have led worship music within a Latin community for years, and that warm, communal background shapes almost everything about how I teach singing today. Thirteen years into teaching now, I've worked with about three hundred students, many of them drawn to community and church music specifically, though I welcome students with any genuine musical goal. My worship background gives me genuine, lived insight into building singers who sing generously for others, not just for themselves in isolation. I work particularly well with students seeking a warm, supportive, community-minded learning environment rather than a purely competitive or isolated one. My teaching style is warm, patient, and genuinely nurturing, built on years of leading singers of every skill level within a real, supportive community setting. I have guided numerous students toward genuine competence and confidence, watching many go on to contribute meaningfully to their own community and church music programs. Students consistently tell me they appreciate the warm, encouraging atmosphere, feeling genuinely supported rather than judged throughout their learning journey. I take genuine pride in helping students discover singing as something to be shared generously, not just personally mastered in isolation.
