About Douglas

About Me I’m a law graduate with Honors in both the LLB and LLM from the University of London, and I bring nearly 20 years of experience teaching law in private colleges. I’ve worked with A-Level and LLB students across a wide range of academic backgrounds — including repeat candidates, struggling learners, and independent students preparing for exams on their own. Over the years, I’ve helped several students improve their grades significantly, including turning D-grade results into A’s through consistent, tailored guidance. I’ve also supported independent candidates through the entire syllabus from start to finish, ensuring they are fully prepared despite not attending formal classes. My teaching style is structured, supportive, and exam-focused. I aim to simplify complex legal concepts, teach students how to apply legal reasoning effectively, and build confidence in answering essay and problem questions. Whether you're aiming to pass, improve your grades, or tackle law for the first time, I offer lessons that are clear, engaging, and personalized to your needs. I take pride in being approachable, professional, and committed to helping every student succeed.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring
My teaching approach is structured, exam-focused, and adapted to each student's learning style. I aim to simplify complex legal concepts by using real-world examples, past exam questions, and step-by-step breakdowns of case law and legal principles.

Each session is interactive — I encourage questions and discussion to help students build confidence and critical thinking, not just memorise content. Where needed, I provide personalised notes, essay-writing tips, and guidance on tackling problem questions effectively.

Lesson Format:

Lessons are typically 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the topic and the student's needs

Conducted online via Zoom or Google Meet, or in person (Shah Alam/Klang/Subang area)

Includes follow-up support such as assignment feedback or short review sessions before exams

Qualifications & Experience:

LLB (Hons) and LLM (Hons) – University of London

Nearly 20 years of college teaching experience in law-related subjects

Familiar with UK-based syllabi (Cambridge A-Level, University of London International Programme, etc.)

Pre-university (A-Level) and undergraduate (LLB) law students

Mature learners or professionals taking law as a second degree

Students who need extra help with legal writing, case analysis, or exam technique
