About Ms Letchumi

I hold an LLB with honors from Aberystwyth University and an LLM from the University of Malaya. With over 11 years of diverse corporate experience, I am a dedicated educator and legal writer specializing in legal writing, research, and analysis. I am passionate about developing and delivering comprehensive curricula that foster student growth.

My background includes legal practice and corporate roles, with experience in dispute mediation within E-commerce, technical operations, and occupational safety and health at YTL Sdn Bhd. Additionally, I have worked in Intellectual Property and Bankruptcy law firms and provided financial advisory services at CIMB. My expertise spans corporate law, intellectual property, environmental regulations, and many others.

As a lecturer and mentor at various institutions, including the International Islamic College and Sunway College University, I have been committed to nurturing the next generation of legal professionals. I am proud to have received recognition for my contributions to legal writing, including the MMU 2024 2nd International Article Writing Competition and the Global Recognition Award in 2024. My publications have focused on critical topics such as judicial review, data protection, and Indigenous rights, and I have contributed to esteemed platforms including LexisNexis and Thomson Reuters.
