About Jenny
Hello! My name’s Jenny and I’m a student at the Royal College of Music. Having completed grade 8 violin by the end of primary school, I spent a lot of my secondary school years learning how to teach. I really do love teaching and find progression so rewarding to experience- especially when students start to enjoy playing and motivate themselves! I have successfully prepared students for grade exams (theory and practical), as well as auditions for junior conservatoires such as the Royal Academy of Music.
Alongside teaching, I was a member of the National Youth Orchestra for 4 years, co-leading in my final year, where we performed in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and on live radio/TV broadcasts. I was also very lucky to spend one year as a choral scholar in Truro Cathedral, and taught theory to some of the choristers there! Please don’t hesitate to get in touch- I look forward to meeting you!

Over the last 5 years, I have taught theory to a range of ages/abilities between 7 and 15 years old, working towards the ABRSM grade 5 exam through a series of books by Ying Ying Ng. I enjoy shaping lessons around the individual through pacing their learning and explaining how the theory relates to their instrument.
I am happy with any length of lesson between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on what works best for you!

Jenny is a both incredibly talented as a violinist and extremely humble as a person. She is kind, above all, and has vast patience; genuinely the best violin teacher my daughter has had.
We were very grateful for Jenny’s tuition and we will miss her as she goes on to greater things.Jenny is a friendly, kind and trusting tutor. My daughter had lessons with her for nearly a year and loved every session. I would definitely recommend Jenny.
Jenny has been teaching my son for 2 years and she's been truly amazing. She showed professionalism and patience despite her young age. She was absolutely perfect for him. Jenny always made sure he was happy to learn, and went above and beyond to provide him with all the tools and method he needed to progress, including finding music scores he'd love to play.
Jenny also proved to be flexible with schedule which is always a plus!
I would highly recommend her for teaching music, she's a gem!Jenny is a great teacher. She’s calm, kind and patient and knows her stuff. She’s also able to pace the learning at the speed of the learner which is not an easy task. My daughter loved learning with her and I would recommend Jenny in a heartbeat.
I highly recommend Jenny as a violin tutor! She taught my 5-year-old daughter for nearly a year and was absolutely wonderful. Jenny is very patient, kind, and skilled at working with young learners. She made the lessons fun and engaging, helping her develop not only her violin skills but also her confidence and love for music.
Jenny is reliable, professional, and truly cares about her students' progress. I fully trust her and believe any student would be lucky to have her as their tutor.A very reliable, genuinely lovely person who cares deeply about the people around her and will always work hard to achieve the highest standard of result - that be both in performing, but also no doubt transferred to her students via her high standard of tuition.
