About Leo
I studied music production both self-taught via YouTube & online courses + working w/ professionals.
I mainly create: house, hyperpop, rap, indie
I love music, but I didn't think I was good at it for a long time. I didn't know how to play any instruments. I studied Cognitive Science & Psychology in college, not music. However, after meeting friends who produce songs + researching top artists, I realized anyone can learn music production in this day and age. Many famous musicians did not start producing from a young age— they just tried it out one day. Music Production is one of the only industries where no one cares if you have formal training / a college degree. If you can make the sounds you want to make + that you personally enjoy, it doesn't matter how you get there. Once you understand the classic techniques, no one *has* to follow a specific set of rules. If the sounds sound good to you, you've succeeded. Production is a balance of technical, yet creative skills, + enjoying the process while not overthinking the process.
