About Monisha
I am Monisha, a passionate Bharatanatyam dancer and trainer with over 8 years of experience in performing and teaching. My teaching journey began from a love for Indian classical art and a strong desire to pass it on to the next generation. I understand every student learns differently — especially kids and women restarting their passion — so I approach each class with patience, encouragement, and personal attention. I currently work in the IT industry, but dance remains my soul’s calling. Through online and offline classes, I aim to make Bharatanatyam accessible, structured, and enjoyable for everyone — from young beginners to adult learners. I am a trained Bharatanatyam dancer with over 8 years of experience and have been awarded the title "Niruthya Kalaimani". I follow the Tanjore style (Thanjavur bani) of Bharatanatyam, which emphasizes strong footwork, precise adavus, and expressive abhinaya. My classes are structured and student-friendly — I teach with patience and care, focusing on building a strong foundation through basic adavus, mudras, rhythm, and expressions. Whether your child is a beginner or you are looking to reconnect with classical dance as a woman, I provide personalized training based on age and ability. I also teach slokas, theory, and choreography step-by-step. Classes are available online and offline, and timings are flexible for working moms, school kids, or homemakers. Let’s begin this beautiful cultural journey together through dance!
