About Amelia
Individual goals dictate the curriculum for your specific instrument. Most students assume that playing faster is the only way to improve. We focus on tuning by ear and proper bowing, including spiccato and staccato, to ensure quality sound production. My 13 years of experience allow me to break down complex theory into manageable parts.
I assign weekly practice modules with every class to ensure you maintain momentum. This structure benefits teens and professionals alike. I enjoy observing the moment when a difficult piece finally sounds clear. Progress relies on consistent, thoughtful repetition.

Working professionals and self-taught players often contact me for help with their technique. Balancing violin and voice was my reality throughout my time at the Université de Montréal. My BMus degree supports the technical rigor I bring to each session. I enjoy helping teens navigate the challenges of classical repertoire and tone production.
It is a relief to see students move past common technical plateaus. Scales and arpeggios provide the foundation for everything we play together. My musical perspective is shaped by my dual background.
