About Faith
I’m Faith Bennett, a passionate bassist and versatile performer, currently studying Classical Double Bass at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. Music has been at the heart of my life for many years, and I love sharing that passion with others through engaging, personalised lessons. I’ve had the privilege of performing with prestigious ensembles such as the Welsh National Opera Orchestra and Opera North Youth Orchestra, and playing at world-class venues including the Royal Albert Hall. My professional experience spans orchestral, operatic, chamber, jazz, function band, and musical theatre work — giving me a rich and varied perspective that I bring into every lesson. As a tutor, I believe in building confidence alongside technical skill. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or working towards advanced performance goals, I aim to create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment that helps every student grow into a confident and expressive musician.

I believe in combining solid technical foundations with creative exploration, so students not only develop strong skills but also a love for playing. My lessons blend practical playing, music theory, sight-reading, and ear training, adapted to each student’s goals and preferred learning style. I draw from my background in classical, jazz, musical theatre, pop, and disco, ensuring lessons are engaging, versatile, and musically well-rounded. Lesson structure: • Typically 45–60 minutes, tailored to the student’s focus and stamina • Warm-ups and technical exercises to build skill and prevent injury • Repertoire development across chosen genres • Performance coaching, improvisation, and ensemble skills for those interested • Constructive feedback and clear goals for practice between lessons
