About Namrata

My interest in teaching began at a very young age having been brought up by parents who were both teachers. My students’ love the way I teach and almost all of them have asked me as to why I don`t teach in a school. Tutoring is the one place where I feel whole and where I can explore in unlimited ways. Tutoring students who need help to shape their career has been my forte. I have completed my Master`s degree and am pursuing a career in Economics. I plan to continue my research into the subject and eventually get a PhD. I`m an exceptional dancer and have received many certificates in Indian Classical, Folk Dances and also for Belly Dancing. I`ve also learnt Mehendi (Indian Bridal) and Rangoli (Sanskarbharti).

About the lesson

I have adopted a student-friendly approach where I like to first know the expectations of a student from their tutor and then the areas where they need my help. I like to plan the topic prior the class and send some notes to a student or ask them to read about the same. Then during a lesson I Iike to discuss the flow of the topic so that the student understands what to expect from the lesson. I then like to elaborate the topic and explain the basics of the topic and once the base is set I gradually increase the depth of the topic. Towards the end of the class I like to give a quick recap of everything discussed during that day and remaining time is for questions and queries. If required I also give short assignments as homework to enable a student to apply the knowledge gained.
