About Carmela
Hi! I’m Carmela, a native Tagalog speaker from the Philippines. I’m a friendly, patient, and approachable person who enjoys meeting people from different backgrounds and helping others learn.
I have experience teaching English online, which helped me develop my communication skills and become comfortable working with students from different backgrounds. Now, I’m excited to share my native language and help students learn Tagalog in a simple and enjoyable way.
Whether you’re learning Tagalog for travel, conversation, Filipino culture, or to communicate with Filipino friends and family, I’ll be happy to support you throughout your learning journey. I believe learning a language should be enjoyable, and I want my students to feel comfortable, confident, and motivated in every lesson.

My Teaching Approach
I believe learning Tagalog should be fun, practical, and comfortable. My teaching style is friendly, patient, and interactive. I encourage students to practice speaking and ask questions so they can build confidence while learning.
Typical Lesson
I usually begin with a short conversation or review of the previous lesson. Then, we focus on the main topic, such as Tagalog vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, or everyday expressions. I use simple examples, conversations, and interactive activities to help students understand and remember new words and phrases. We end the lesson with a short review and speaking practice.
What Sets Me Apart
I make my lessons easy to follow and focused on real-life communication. I adjust my teaching style based on the student’s level, goals, and learning pace. I want students to feel comfortable practicing Tagalog and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
