About Nicolás
I am a professional photographer and journalist with more than 10 years of experience specialized in the documentary genre, news coverage for international agencies and teaching photography. I have given more than 4000 workshops of photography during the last 8 years to students and photographers of all levels, from beginners to professionals of all ages, in the cities of Barcelona, London and Buenos Aires.
Some of my publications as a photojournalist include The New York Times (USA), The Guardian (UK), Getty Images (UK), The New Yorker (USA), The Wall Street Journal (USA), Agence France-Press, Le Figaro (France), BBC (UK), Kingdom), CNN (USA), Stern (Germany), Der Spiegel (Germany), El País (Spain), La Vanguardia (Spain), Clarín (Argentina) and La Nación (Argentina). I regularly collaborate with the German international news agency Deutsche Press-Agentur and with TV platform Movistar+.

If you have been with a camera for a long time and you have never dared to shoot in manual mode or you feel like trying new things, this experience is ideal for you. We will see everything about the technical and narrative edges of photography. In a didactic and playful way, you will have the necessary tools to start creating more attractive images as you always wanted to do.
Why can't I create blur? How do I change the color of my photo? Why is the image grainy? How do I avoid a blurred image? But my photo has not turned out well! We will solve these and many more questions together learning elementary and advanced techniques using entertaining exercises.
About the route, we are going to shoot inside the old city of Barcelona, covering at least two of the following neighborhoods: Gothic, Born and Raval. We will cross some key places that are a must-see in the city as we are going to shoot in some specific streets that are perfect to create strong images and learn how to work with light. The Gothic Quarter will be our historical area; Born the trendy and design point of our way and Raval our multicultural spot!
