About Jesus

I was born in Spain and have spent the last sixteen years living in England, giving me a deep, first-hand understanding of both languages and cultures. I am passionate about teaching because I know exactly what it feels like to navigate a second language in a new country. My goal is to move beyond boring grammar drills and help you find your own voice in Spanish. I want to share the vibrancy of my native tongue with you, helping you speak with the confidence and ease of a local, while using my years of English experience to make the journey simple and enjoyable.

About the lesson

My Qualifications: Life Immersion
While I don't hold a traditional teaching degree, I offer something many classrooms lack: true bilingualism. I was born and raised in Spain, giving me a native's grasp of the rhythm and soul of the language. Having lived in England for the past 16 years, I understand exactly how the English mind processes Spanish. I bridge the gap between the two cultures because I live in both of them every single day.

How I Teach: The "Natural Acquisition" Method
I believe the best way to learn a language is the way you learned your first one: through use, not just memorisation. Our sessions will focus on:

Active Conversation: We will talk about topics you actually care about—hobbies, news, or travel—to build your "muscle memory."

The "Real" Spanish: Textbooks often teach formal phrases that locals don't use. I will teach you the slang, the shortcuts, and the natural flow of modern Spanish.

Error Correction in Real-Time: Instead of grading papers, I’ll provide instant feedback during our chats to help you sound more like a local and less like a translation app.

Cultural Context: Because I’ve lived in both Spain and England, I can explain why things are said a certain way, helping you avoid social awkwardness.
