About Jacques
Although most of my career was in the US Tech industry, I also taught French to first grade students, which was both a fun and challenging experience.
Based on personal experience learning Spanish and German from scratch, I believe that learning a new language should be a fun experience that also requires a lot of practice, that is discipline.
I strive to keep each learning session engaging.

I focus on conversation above anything else.
Key points of French grammar are reviewed as they arise.
I like to start my lessons with a conversation focused on a real-life events/occurrences.
I keep track of grammar points that need to be clarified and we review them together after the conversation.
I try to pick up conversation subjects that are fun and engaging. I also cover French argot (slang) which is very much in use in conversations.
